£93m attraction plans approved in Belfast

Belfast City Council has approved plans to create a £93m visitor attraction on the city’s largest development site, Giant’s Park in North Fore-shore. Slated for completion in 2026 the project is designed around four central hubs including a leisure and sports area and an adventure theme park.

£8m leisure site opens outside Preston

Barton Grange’s Flower Bowl, an £8m leisure complex including a bowling alley and cinema, has opened on the outskirts of Preston Guy Topping, who is managing director of the site, said: “It’s been hectic, really busy, we’re very happy with it. We’ve been working on the plan for about six years.”

New appointment at Butlin’s

Butlin’s has appointed a head of conference and events as the company looks to bolster business development following five consecutive years of growth. Cheryl Russell joins the company with more than 30 years experience in the sector, most recently at Principal Hotel Company.
