The traditional British bingo hall is set for makeover from the founder of ping pong bar Bounce and mini golf club Puttshack.

Adam Breeden, founder of Social Entertainment Ventures says his version of the British favourite – called HiJingo! – will be combine Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, the X Factor, and a rock gig.

“We are in the process of developing technology which runs the bingo, but also choreographs the way the venue sort of pulsates with the emotional flow of the experience of playing bingo,” said Breeden.

The entrepreneur is hoping to attract partnerships to supply prizes such as tickets to Paris and flights to New York, along with “Phenomenal monetary prizes”.

Breeden aims to open the first venue in London with a further two launched in the first three months of the venture.

“What we’re doing is taking something that’s a traditional pastime … (and) creating a massively enhanced product and experience to make it that much more appealing to a wider audience,” said Breeden adding: “And Bingo, again it’s been around for so long, it’s just the most wonderfully simple compelling experience, which is why it’s stood the test of time.”
