Announcing the phasing out of its T7 Terminal in the coming 12 months, SG Gaming will display the companies Equinox range at ICE, which comes in the form of four different feature-packed terminals.
With its new Equinox range on display at ICE, Scientific Games has announced that the company’s UK division, SG Gaming, will be gradually phasing out its Triple7 terminal, which was introduced to the market in 2007.
This will allow the company to focus on the Equinox range, which has been developed to be modular by design and adaptive to new emerging technology. It is comprised of four striking terminals – three with different HD screen sizes of 24”, 27” and a curved 43” 4K screen, along with a magnificent 55” community gaming showstopper.
It also offers a host of innovative new features such as ‘Privacy Mode’ on its V-Deck+ gaming panel, as well as providing access to an array of engaging gaming content from the SG Gaming content development team.
As part of this fantastic innovation, SG Gaming has reached the decision that it will no longer update and support its Triple7 terminal.
Whilst the Triple7 terminal has performed well since its launch in 2007, it is no longer able to provide as compelling a gaming experience as the Company’s more recent products. New platform software updates and new content updates will cease from the 31st July 2018, with the terminal reaching its end of life by 1st January 2019, after which all SG Gaming support will cease.
SG Gaming is already working with its customers to ensure an effective migration.
“The Triple7 has been a great product for our customers, but at over ten years old, it cannot compete with our more modern products. Innovation is always at the forefront of what we do at SG Gaming, and the new Equinox range is a real step forward, not only as a terminal solution, but also in terms of the cutting-edge features that support it,” said Simon Johnson, group commercial director at SG Gaming.
“We very much look forward to rolling out the new Equinox terminals into more venues next year, allowing operators to offer their players the most up-to-date playing experience, and ultimately help to drive cashbox performance as a result.”
