Fans of Project’s Free Play 500, one of the industry’s most popular low stake gaming machines, will have a spring in their step with the first batch of the 2018 edition set to be delivered to venues in the New Year.
The game, which first entered the country’s AGCs and bingo clubs in 2009, has been relaunched following requests from retailers and distributors alike.
Project has retained exactly the same gameplay that made Free Play 500 so successful, but has given it the software flexibility to cope with any changes in technology, added HD graphics and made it TiTo enabled.
Commenting on developments, Project managing director, Tony Boulton, told Coinslot: “This is the first occasion that we have actually undertaken a relaunch and I have to say the cash box figures achieved with the new model have been consistent and in many cases exceeded those of the original where we have replaced old for new in the same site.
We are working very closely with our distributors and the key feedback we are receiving is that retailers are very keen to ensure that players have an uninterrupted gaming experience and the new technology we have used in the relaunch delivers that.”
He added: “From a retailer perspective the fact that Free Play 500 HD is TiTo enabled means that they can invest in one of the industry’s iconic games with confidence and at a sub £4,000 price point. All of the evidence suggests that the game cuts through all demographic groups and has a strong following in regions throughout the country.”
