Luxury Leisure has made a premises licence application to Norwich City Council for a new AGC to replace a soon-to-be-shuttered shopping centre unit.

It has been reported by local press that the city council has granted initial permissions with regard to the first floor premises, but, unsurprisingly, there are some local objections from an anti-gaming lobby whose opposition favours an empty, vacant shop rather than one, this time from Luxury Leisure, that would bring employment and entertainment to the area.

The city has two gaming locations where the operators have earned a strong reputation for best practice and support for their local community.

Oddly, though, it is the total number of venues in the city rather than their record and commitment to social responsibility that has been at the forefront of the opposition to the AGC application.
