Leftover redemption tickets are being used to help raise money for Bacta’s charity partner Rays of Sunshine in an initiative called #Tickets2wishes.

The initiative was launched at Funstation in Castleford, Yorkshire and works by customers donating leftover redemption tickets with the operators then matching that amount before being donated to the charity.

“Funstation is all about friends and family having fun together, and we wanted to do something that would help make happy memories for families who may not be having such a fun time at the moment,” said managing director at funstation, James Miller.

It is hoped that £12,500 will be raised by the scheme over the course of the year. The money will go towards granting wishes for children who have serious or life limiting illnesses.

The launch featured a child who had his wish of visiting the set of Soccer Saturday granted by the charity.
