A proposal for a new development in Leeds has been submitted by Mecca Bingo which is set to feature bingo and assorted gaming machines.
Mecca Bingo has submitted plans for a new operation in Leeds on the ground floor of The Cube on Albion Street.
According to plans brought forward by Barton Willmore, the development would make no alterations to the exterior of the existing unit, which has been empty since 2015, bar the closure of one set of entrance doors.
Operating under the Luda brand, fit-out of the venue will cost approximately £900,000, which Mecca said was a sign of its commitment to Leeds as a location.
Alongside its core bingo offering, submitted plans have shown the presence of various gaming machines, in line with the increasing diversification of the bingo experience, however it has been confirmed that FOBT units will not be part of any plans Mecca Bingo operates 85 clubs in the UK, including sites at New York Street in Leeds, as well as Cross Gates Road, Cross Gates and Balm Road, Hunslet.
