Following a theft at Blackpool’s Olympia Amusements on 23 January, local police have released CCTV images in an appeal for help.
Amusements operators in the north east are warned to be vigilant after Lancashire Constabulary revealed it is trying to trace two men in connection with theft from a gaming machine in Cleveleys.
Blackpool Police has posted CCTV images of the men on its Facebook page and asked for the public’s help in identifying who they are.
The incident took place at Olympia Amusements on 23 January, when a number of people walked into an amusement arcade on Rough Lea Road. Officers said a number of men appeared to tamper with one of the machines, making it malfunction and pay out around £40.
They then took the cash and left. Masons Amusements, which owns the Olympia, posted the CCTV images on its own Facebook page on the day of the attack and offered a £300 reward for information.
Blackpool Police said it believes the men shown in the stills may have information that could help it with its investigation.
It asked anyone who thinks they might know who the men picture are, or where they may be, to email [email protected], quoting crime ref number WD1700958.
