The Westminster eForum seminar focusing on the impact of Brexit on the UK gambling industry will feature a number of key industry speakers.
As the UK continues to negotiate its withdrawal from the EU, a Westminster eForum seminar will be held on 14 March titled the “UK gambling sector: market developments, regulation and the impact of Brexit.”
The seminar will review the latest developments in the industry and consider the future of the sector.
Among the speakers recently added is David Clifton, director of Clifton Davies Consultancy, who will discuss the subject of “Examining key policy and regulatory priorities: Brexit, tax and forthcoming legislation.”
This seminar will consider how further consolidation in the market is likely to impact competition and mitigate the impact on newly formed larger players from tax and regulation.
There will also be sessions on tackling problem gambling and the best practises for advertising, innovations in online gambling, the implications of Brexit on industry growth and the priorities for developing and enforcing a strong regulatory gaming network.
Other confirmed speakers are Sarah Gardner, executive director at the Gambling Commission; Dirk Hansen, the chief executive of Gam- Care and John White, chief executive of BACTA.
The event will be held at Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace and delegates will be provided transcripts on the speeches, questions and comments.
