Praesepe, part of the Gauselmann Group of companies, has extended its AGC footprint in the UK with the purchase of seven venues from Mirage Centres, Ltd.

The acquisition, which follows the purchase of the 25-strong Teddy’s chain of AGCs from William Clark last summer, has been completed for an undisclosed sum.

“These are strategically important AGC venues which complement our growing national portfolio,” said Praesepe CEO, Nick Harding. “The continuing investment that is being made by the Gauselmann Group is further evidence of their support for the Praesepe strategic business plan, which has seen us record back to back, strong, year on year profit growth. The AGCs are at locations from Waltham Cross in London to Mansfield in the East Midlands and have been built up over a number of years by Jim and Michael Shipley.”

He added: “They are extremely well run businesses and I have been impressed by the professionalism and commitment of the staff. The process of integrating the businesses into the Cashino AGC brand is already underway and I am delighted to welcome our new faces to Team Praesepe!”
