This year, the two companies are hoping to raise money for Help for Heroes, an organisation that provides direct and practical support for wounded, injured and sick veterans, servicemen and women and their loved ones.
Together, BALPPA and BERG have created a 500 lap challenge and are looking for visitors to join in the competitive fun. Visitors can volunteer to complete a minimum of ten laps each around the BERG Pedal Go-Kart track, which will be on the VAE show floor. The go-karts will also be provided by BERG.
As an extra incentive, the tenth lap will be timed and there will be prizes awarded for the fastest laps. The third fastest lap will receive two family tickets to Funland at Hayling Island and the second fastest lap will win two family tickets to Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The fastest lap will be the lucky recipient of £500 worth of BERG products.
The entry fee is £10 per person for 10 laps, with all proceeds going to the BALPPA Chairman’s chosen charity. It is hoped that this year’s fundraising total will surpass the amount raised in 2016.
