Grosvenor Casinos is raising the stakes at its Leeds venue with an investment of £3million to improve the casino experience and install new facilities.

Grosvenor Casinos has announced its Leeds venue will be receiving a £3million refurbishment to be completed before 2017.

The investment will update the sites décor and facilities as well as gaining a second gaming licence to allow for an additional 20 slot machines on the premises.

Grosvenor’s Leeds venue in Wellington Bridge Street will also improve its dining experience, install a new smoking area and increase the car parking spaces on site.

The investment will also create a number of jobs for the local community to increase its existing 140-strong team currently employed at the casino.

Commenting on the refurbishment, John Fordham, general manager of Grosvenor Casino Leeds Westgate, said: “We can’t wait to unveil the fantastic new facilities that will be on offer to Leeds as a result of this refurbishment.  Not only will this investment allow us to provide an exceptional gaming experience for both new and existing customers, but it will also create important job opportunities for the local community.  We’ll be sure to celebrate the unveiling of the new look casino with a bang so watch this space for further details!”
