The National Bingo Game has revealed its luckiest bingo towns in the UK with Scotland featuring prominently on the list.
Topping the poll was Mecca Bingo Forge in Glasgow, with players in the city bagging £322,833.34 in total across 29 wins in the last year. Clubs in Aberdeen, Dundee Douglasfield and Hamilton also featured in the top 10 of winning clubs calculated between 1 October 2015 and 30 September 2016.
General manager of Mecca Bingo, The Forge, Glasgow, Paul McGlinchey, said: “We’re thrilled to have topped the list of the UK’s luckiest towns! I think it is fair to say that the club is more than a place to win prizes: we also provide a great venue at which people can meet up with friends, grab a bite to eat and most importantly have a great time without spending a fortune.”
Mecca Bingo in Talbot Road Blackpool came second alongside Beacon Bingo in Cricklewood North West London, who both had 27 wins totalling £307,833 and £306,166 respectively.
Miles Baron, chief executive of the National Bingo Game, commented: “Well done Glasgow and what a result for Scottish bingo clubs! It continues to show how popular bingo is in Scotland: friends and family meeting up at their local clubs for a great night out and a chance to socialise and Win.”
