Following a deal made at the IAAPA show last week, Electrocoin will be supplying its first cashless Intercard system in Sega Amusements International first FEC.
Electrocoin has confirmed a new contract with Sega Amusements International to install its first cashless Intercard system at Sega’s initial FEC in the UK.
The deal was announced during last week’s IAAPA and will see the Intercard system installed at Sega’s new Prizezone FEC in Hertfordshire, the first of a number of planned centres for Sega across the world.
Gabino Stergides of Electrocoin, said: “We are delighted that Sega has chosen Intercard after studying all of the competition. They liked our system’s reliability, security and technology, plus the return on investment.”
Sega’s Prizezone FEC will be a completely cashless venue containing games, rides and a retail store for Sonic and Sega branded gifts.
Commenting on their first FEC, Roger Pennington, CFO at Sega, said, “We are already into operating, of course, with around 500 pieces of equipment in locations across Europe, under the management of David Barnham, but this is our first complete centre. It will cover 3,000sq. feet with mainly redemption games.”
