With an enviable history in the spares and components marketplace, you might forgive SuzoHapp for resting on its laurels, but as sales director John Vallis explains, the company is doing anything but.
There are few company names more closely associated with the spares and components field than SuzoHapp. The Germany-headquartered company has long been renowned for its ability to quickly and efficiently supply a dizzying array of vital machine parts.
“First of all we are specialists for spares and components,” said SuzoHapp’s UK sales director, John Vallis, “that is our core business and something we have been doing for many years. Therefore, we have the necessary experience and know-how to understand and anticipate what our customers need.”
One of the secrets to maintaining this reputation, Vallis explained, was keeping an ear to the ground in the wider industry.
“We are very close to our market,” he said, “that means we invest our time and effort in ensuring that we know our customers and can provide them with all the solutions they require. We have a wide range of solutions and continue to focus on providing new and innovative products for our customers.”
“The Scan Coin UK Service Team of over 40 field-based engineers in the UK not only supports the Scan Coin products but can also support customers on-site – for example, we offer our customers new £5 Note and £1 Coin upgrades in the field, saving the customer time, hassle (not shipping products here and back) and of course money.”
That doesn’t mean that the company isn’t always striving to improve what it offers to customers, as was recently demonstrated by the Suzo’s acquisition of Scan Coin. “Our sales and service support has been greatly increased since the acquisition of Scan Coin,” said Vallis. “The Scan Coin UK Service Team of over 40 field-based engineers in the UK not only supports the Scan Coin products but can also support customers on-site – for example, we offer our customers new £5 Note and £1 Coin upgrades in the field, saving the customer time, hassle (not shipping products here and back) and of course money.
“This is in addition to the two weekly Van Run services that we provide to not only deliver customers orders but to also collect and return products that require repairing or updating.”
Right now, naturally, the company has a focus on supporting its customers through the tricky currency transitions currently happening in the UK.
“Again, we at SuzoHapp have many years of experience in currency updates,” said Vallis. “We ensure that new coins and notes are programmed onto our devices (such as coin validators, banknote readers) in good time. We work together with the Bank of England and other bank institutions (such as the European Central Bank) to ensure that we have access to new currency and help to provide valuable insight on security features so that our customers profit from even more secure solutions.
“We have all the programming tools so that our customers can introduce new currency onto older products that are already up and running in amusement machines. Alternatively, we can programme the units for our clients.”
