A new seafront family entertainment centre has opened on the site of Cleveleys’ Jubilee Leisure Park ice rink.

Called Knuckleheads, it features a raft of coin-op amusements, including air hockey, pool tables and redemption machines with a full prize shop.

The new FEC, which took 10 weeks to install, also features a children’s soft play area, bouncy castles, fairground rides, café and grill restaurant.

“We have already had more than 50 messages and have been hounded by people looking for somewhere to hold their children’s parties, so demand is there.”

Managing director Wendy Bickerstaffe told local press: “We are very excited about Knuckleheads, it is going to be an all year round attraction with play area downstairs and a gourmet grill restaurant and coffee bar upstairs.

“We have already had more than 50 messages and have been hounded by people looking for somewhere to hold their children’s parties, so demand is there.”

Bickerstaffe said around £250,000 had been spent on the new FEC, which included refurbishment of the building and the cost of the rides and machines.
