Cardiff-based Electrocoin After Sales has strengthened its product services to cover the new £1 coin and £5 note, due to be released during the next 12 months.
The company now offers updates for the Electrocoin range of products to ensure they are compatible with the new currency. All products supplied carry the Electrocoin guarantee of compatibility and the latest manufacturers’ security updates.
The new polymer £5 note will be introduced in mid-September this year and the £1 coin will be released in March 2017. The Bank of England hopes to remove the old £5 from circulation by May 2017. With only a short window of change, operators are now in the process of updating their note acceptors now to keep up-to-date and enhance the security of their machines.
“These are crucial updates that operators have to make to ensure their machines maximise income. Electrocoin After Sales are making the process as easy as possible and are on hand to advise operators.”
Mike Dando, Electrocoin’s technical manager commented: “These are crucial updates that operators have to make to ensure their machines maximise income. Electrocoin After Sales are making the process as easy as possible and are on hand to advise operators.”
In addition to its currency plans, the company now also offers LED lighting updates. These replace the fluorescent tubes and filament lamps on the Electrocoin range of Casino Cabinets, such as Bar X, Big 7 and Magic 7, offering an enhanced player experience and energy cost savings. The kits are factory-fitted in Cardiff by Electrocoin After Sales technicians. The fitting of LED Kits offer a choice of lighting colours for the pay trays in red, blue, green or white, which are fully operator switchable.
