The owner of a touring park, who hopes to expand to create 39 timber camping pods and an additional 65 pitches, has hit out at comments by residents opposing his plans calling them “irrational”.
Noah Robinson, of Lakeside Prestatyn Ltd – the operators of Ffrith Beach Touring Park – wants to develop land at the site on Victoria Road to include 31 timber camping pods and eight “exclusive” family-size pods.
Robinson whose family have been operating a leisure business in Rhyl for three generations and who has himself has been in the fairground business for more than 50 years, said:
“Evidently there is no rationale behind these comments.
“Cafes, arcades, funfair etc… these are things we have been involved in for years.
“We are all about local business and investing our own money in Rhyl and Prestatyn and up to now, it is working.”
